New yarn in my basket...

Hi everyone, I have just started a new project, so exciting. This time I am doing a Babette blanket for my son. I am working with stylecraft DK yarn for the first time, and so far I'm finding it very enjoyable to work with. Have a look at the colors. My son really liked my choices and he cant wait for it to be ready. I told him it may take sometime though, any ways, I have few pics to show you on my new blanky project.

I will keep you posted throughout the progress on my new crochet adventure.
Have a great creative time wherever you are.

Show and Tell...

I am so very happy to share with you today the latest and the biggest crochet project yet. As you may know I'm newbie in crochet making and have already done a few small crochet projects so far, (you can see them on the older posts). After my first ever tiny project on a cushion, I wanted to do a throw, and have to be an African flower, so... after much research on the cyber land  I found the lovely frills and spills blog with the most beautiful African flower in an hexagon, perfect for my throw, thank to Jasmine's excellent tutorial with a great step by steps tutorial with pictures, here:
 http://frills-n-spills.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/african-flower.html

I was able to follow and do it, and slowly but surely the throw was growing and finally I just finished. I love all about this throw, the colors, size the making. I am so proud that I have done this ambitious  project.

This one gone to a dear friend of mine, she was thrilled with her birthday present on Wednesday. I do want to do one for myself later on as well.
And here it is...

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you liked my creation as much I do.

Yarn Ball Winder

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you today a nice little gadget I've been introduced by Olivia from Girly Bunches, you can also see a tutorial on how to set and use this little toy on Girly Bunches You Tube channel.
I bought my from amazon and cost me just £25.00 including postage.
I tested mine and find it to be a great little toy to have, specially if you are a woolly kind of girl or boy, like me.

Then you will end up with a neat yarn ball on your hand to play with.
Thanks for sharing Olivia.
Have a great creative week.

Keeping up with my hobbies...

I have to say, it’s not enough time during the day for me to do everything I like. As I mentioned before, I work very long hours, and have my family to take care of, husband, checking if the young man is doing his homework, dinner etc… oh yes, the house work, gosh... when the accumulated house work starts to be too visible, hubby ask if I am on "strike", oopsy daisy… It’s tricky to find free time during the day or night to craft.

And, of course I must mention my neglected blog, another challenge, but I think I’m getting better though, I’m doing my best to post more regularly, fingers cross I can keep up.

It’s very important for me to find sometime to craft, even if it’s just a little. I feel good and happy when I craft. Not to mention the pleasure of seeing someone’s smile when receiving one of my crafty creation, specially hand made by me for them, it’s priceless and very rewording.

As the name of my blog suggest it’s very therapeutic for me when I craft. So, I will continue to find time, and do occasionally “strikes” to do what I love the most, crafting.

Let’s see what’s in the making at the moment.

The throw is almost ready.
Happy crafting and have a great week.
